Palm OS Gets SlingPlayer Mobile Beta

SlingPlayer Mobile for Palm OS betaIf you are using a Palm Treo 700p and have been itching to watch your SlingBox’s TV tream on your mobile phone, consider your itch scratched. You can now download a beta version of the SlingPlayer Mobile software for Palm OS from SlingMedia’s website.

With that SlingBox already setup with your home TV, SlingPlayer Mobile not only allows you to watch place-shifted programming from your Treo 700p, but also lets you control your home “digital video recorder (DVR), DVD player, video tape player [really? who uses VCR's anymore?], and more.”

Unfortunately, only Palm Treo 700p users (in the US and Canada) will be able to use this new beta software. But, on the plus side, it’s free! For now….
