VeriSign And Visa Team Up For Mobile Banking

Visa logoYahoo News reports that VeriSign has entered into a deal with Visa to allow payments for services and goods via mobile phones. The Visa mobile platform not only allows for mobile payment, but will offer users of the service promotional offers and rebates.

Everybody seems to be jumping on this mobile banking bandwagon, and the future looks bright for mobile banking in the US. Granted mobile banking and payment systems are being widely used across the pond, this is a significant milestone for us Yankees.

VeriSign is supplying the content and marketing prowess while Visa brings the financial backing to offer promotional coupons and rebates. The new partnership will also give marketers some insight into the effectiveness of their campaign strategies.
