I think we’ve been waiting this for so long. YouTube is finally set to go fully mobile, meaning that it will be available to all mobile users, not only to the Verizon (NYSE: VZ) subscribers.
According to the company’s spokeperson, YouTube Mobile for Europe will be launched in May 2007, while the U.S. users will have to wait for another month to enjoy all the benefits of the popular service.
However, at least initialy, YouTube’s mobile service will not have all the videos from its large database. The service will go live with around 800 “editorial pick” videos to choose from.
The way I see it, when it comes to YouTube, it’s better something, than nothing. Plus, a demo site is already working, so don’t forget to check that out. (via: GigaOm)
