Can anyone recommend blogging software?

Someone told me to check out RapidWeaver, but I have Windows.
Any similar blogging software available that you guys would recommend?

RW (RapidWeaver) isn’t even a blogging tool, it’s like iWeb or SandBox made to build small websites with page structures (though including small blog) and builds static pages which are uploaded at each edition.
I bought it for my father in law for our apartments to rent in southern france so he could use it himself ( http://jaxx.org/lmdn/ )… Great for the computer illiterate.
What you might be looking for is a blog client which helps you writing posts and pushes them to your blog using soap/xmlrpc calls (oftenly called “Post API”)… Thoses clients support sometimes more than one type of blog.
You use Typepad, so look here:
http://help.typepad.com/weblogs/post.html#typepad_and_desktop_clients
Hum… looks like you’ll have to google for a working PC client … I bet you know what I think about “dows”
don’t even think of turning this into a windows versus mac discussion.
no no… *install Linux* I’m not that kind, and I won’t leave any subliminal messages float around my comments *have an Apple* But I thought there would have been *BSD rocks* some more obvious Blog API clients, for all plateforms.
I use WordPress and might try to find one myself… I know there have been a few Java built clients around, but well, I’m not used to that kind of stuff… If I find a few, I’ll tell you by mail … I have no choice but Windows yet at office, so I’d be happy finding a good one for that so called plateform (but I’m making a multi-million company use more and more opensource stuff week after week
)
I’ve recommended you a website in the comments:

Hmm… I’ll say it again, labnol.blogspot.com . It has A LOT of blogging tips, including RSS feeds, blog engines, softwares, podcasting, vidcasting, etc. IN DETAILED. I really recommend you read it. It is a great resource for all bloggers.
I know you don’t consider ads, but the website has a lot of adsense tips as well. You should really consider advertisement… The non-intrusive ones. There are many ways to implement ads, really.
BTW, I like the idea of making a flowing post regarding many issues, but please, no long posts like the catch up’s. @_@
