Me to think that the future is with linux. Every manufacturer is adopting linux for their mobile version.
Im wondering when microsoft will switch to linux. ????

I would not be terribly surprised if MS Mobile showed up on a Nokia phone one day.. I doubt Nokia is making tons of money from its shares in Symbian. I.e. device sales still are the key for Nokia, and they have the power and smarts to use whatever platform they need to. But I also think/hope they are smarter than Moto, which seems to have spread its eggs into way too many baskets.

I think Linux is choice of future. Here in Finland I even heard strong rumor that E90 could be based on Linux. It was not, but rumor was interesting.

Nokia does a number of things related to Linux and Open Source for both internal and external consumption. Makes total sense to me.

why not do both? i think it’s a good idea and the N800 is as you say a great platform for experimenting.
