Mobio Opens Public Beta Program With Mobile Lifestyle Applications

Mobio, the company that wants to redefine the way we use the web on our mobile phones, opens up its beta program today. With 50 mobile applications grouped into 8 “lifestyle” collections, Mobio’s got the mobile web covered. Instead of bringing the entire web, in it’s full page browsing glory, to your mobile phone, Mobio wants you to use their little mobile-optimized applications browse “only those bits of the web that is relevant for [you] given [your] specific tastes, interests, geography, as well as the task [you] are trying to accomplish at a particular moment in time.” Fair enough, but didn’t Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) also announce like this?
