In another “world’s first” claim from the Korean electronics manufacturer, Samsung’s F500 phone, dubbed the “Ultra Video,” is being touted as the “world’s first” Divx phone. That’s great and all, but the claim just doesn’t have the same bite without a certified backing from Divx themselves – you can already play Divx movies on a Linux phone. But, consider that bark just as significant as the bite now that Divx just announced that they are giving the “Ultra Video” a thumbs up with an official certification of Divx video-codec compatibility. Get your Divx movie viewing fix with the still-to-be-released Samsung F500 “Ultra Video.”
