It's one of those things that I'll keep doing regardless of that slight risk of death. The accident wasn't my fault. I had a tire blow out which in turn caused me to nearly swerve into a concrete divider at 105 mph (169 km/h), but I missed it by a few inches and ended up spinning a few times in a grassy field. That adrenaline rush was glorious. Let's just say I check my tire pressure and tread depth a little more often now ;-) It’s hard to explain in words how much I love driving. It does raise one question in my mind though.. if you were almost killed in a car accident, why do you have a radar detection device in your car? Not trying to be flippant or an a-hole, but that just seems slightly contradictory.
