Google Phone To Be Manufactured By HTC – Will Ship By Year’s End

Google Phone will be made by HTCDigiTimes is reporting that ODM-turned-smartphone-powerhouse HTC (High Tech Computer) is on deck to pump out the much anticipated Google Phone. The mobile phone entry from search giant Google, will support Texas Instruments’ 3G platform, as well as EDGE data connectivity – but will lack an integrated GPS feature. And, we can expect the phone to come pre-loaded with Google search and Gmail software.

Industry analysts expect Google to launch their Google Phone on European networks through operators like Orange, with a global launch slated for 2008. HTC will begin shipping the Google handset by the end of 2007 and expects shipment volume to reach upwards of one million units.
