Modeo shows mobile TV demand in NYC; presented at National Association of Broadcasters 2007, Las VegasMobile TV, especially live broadcasts, has a consistent demand in the US. At least that’s what Modeo stated in their presentation at the National Association of Broadcasters 2007 in Las Vegas. Modeo’s six-week trial in New York City was launched January 30 and included a diverse mix of male and females with varied backgrounds. Michael Ramke, Modeo President, said that they “were very pleasantly surprised, frankly, with the response,” adding that “live TV is a very strong and leading selling point in this.”

The six live TV channels included in the trial - MSNBC, CNBC, Fox News Channel, Fox Sports, Discovery Channel, E - all scored higher than 70 satisfaction. Viewership was consistent throughout the trial, with average use around 15 minutes per day. That kind of usage definitely indicates a demand in the US. According to Ramke, mobile TV is what TV viewers are expecting and “they’re certainly expecting something beyond the old Watchman experience .”

We want mobile TV now! If our vote counts for anything, there it is.
