While it's sad you can't use picture mail, there are ways around that especially if you know how to handle Windows and stuff. Also-- no other carrier has the excellent pricing for plans that Sprint does. T-Mobile charges ridiculous amounts of money for text messaging that isn't even unlimited. Don't even get me started on Verizon, much less Cingular/AT&T.
