I’m really not sure why this requires a patent – the surfboard-like phone. Anyhow, the real patent has been filed for this concept phone that aims to appeal to surfers around the globe.
However, there’s a novelty here as well — this surfboard can be left standing upright while watching video clips, listen to MP3 sound tracks or talk hands free. The upper deck side of the board contains a recessed LCD screen and a keypad with protruding neoprene buttons. Plus, with the fins retracted flush against the phone body, the pointed nose makes it easier to slide the phone into a tight trouser pocket. (via: textually)
