EU fails to reach accord on roaming rules

The European Union failed to come to an agreement about price caps on roaming fees. Furthermore representatives from the EU countries couldn’t agree whether roaming customers should be switched to a regulated rate. The two areas that proved to be the stumbling blocks were rules for “opt in, opt out” and the limits of the caps.
Official wording goes like this: “Everybody now is working hard to reach an agreement.” A second round of discussion is scheduled for May 2, and is in line with the EU’s promise to resolve this issue by summer. (via: InTheNews)
