SprintSprint and mFoundry teamed-up to deliver mobile banking and mobile financial services to the operator’s Vision and Power Vision subscribers. Carrier’s Spotlight mobile banking solution will enable consumers to check bank balances, transfer funds and make bill payments with a number of financial institutions, including Citibank.

mFoundry is promising high level of security, like multi-factor authentication, encryption and remote deactivation. Furthermore, the mobile solution provider announced that their solution is fully integrated into the Spotlight platform, and all of its current mobile banking customers will be included in the Sprint (NYSE: S) Spotlight solution.

Sprint’s VP of user experience and emerging products Mike Coffey commented: “Offering our customers a way to quickly check their balance and manage their banking account anytime, anywhere on the Sprint National Network, is just another example of the power of mobility. Mobile banking is an excellent complement to the many other data applications that we offer. The Spotlight solution allows us to offer a distinct, flexible solution for financial institutions as well as mobile subscribers.”
