Cheap(er) Vertu Ascent from China - VEPTU I-70 When you think of “Vertu” the words “cheap” or “affordable” don’t really come to mind. The super-luxo phones are out of reach of most people’s finances, which is part of Vertu’s appeal – exclusivity. Well, now you can have your very own ~~Vertu Ascent~~ VEPTU I-70 phone from obscure Chinese manufacturer CECT. You see what they did there? The VEPTU series phones will feature 24k “gold”, 2 megapixel cam, MP3 player, and memory card slot – all for a lot less than a real Vertu Ascent. So why would anyone go for the Vertu Ascent if they can have the Vertu Clone – VEPTU – for a lot less? Well, first, the VEPTU is likely to attract the same kind of attention as an utterly conspicuous counterfeit Louis Vuitton bag; and, second, the “gold” is just regular metal with a “gold” color to it. So, this VEPTU is to Vertu’s phones as Rolix is to Rolex’s watches.

It looks nice veptu, is’nt? But the truth was after 1 month, all 24k plating gone.

I dont trust anything fake, especially from China the country that called fake industry. Where they were even making fake eggs.

My mum bought this phone for me from Hong Kong, it says “VERTU”(not ve’P'tu) on it “Type RHV-2″. The battery is covered in gold plastic and says “VIRGO” on it and under it is “BLZ-2″. It came in a leather box without any CD. written is made in England. Its ment to be 18krt gold plated;Which seems to be fine.
Can any body tell what it really is??
