KTF Korea is busting out with a new twist on multimedia messages. The company is rolling out its “location-tracking MMS,” offering users the convenience of having location data embedded in their multimedia messages. The location data is used to automatically attach maps of the user’s current location. The tech is claimed to be accurate to within 500 meters, so users are not going to be able to get an exact fix on their location, but it’s a start. This nifty new feature has potential, and could not-so-coincidentally increase MMS data usage for carriers that adopt this feature. Let’s hope this one makes it out of Korea.
