T-Mobile USA to carry Nokia N95?

By Dusan Belic on Wednesday, May 2nd, 2007 at 4:25 AM PST In Devices, NSeries, Nokia, Rumors, Symbian, T-Mobile

T-Mobile Nokia N95File this under “let’s just hope it will happen.” Engadget writes that T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) USA will get the Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s flagship N95. The carrier’s UK division is already offering the best imaging device, and in that sense I don’t see why it wouldn’t “transfer” it overseas.

Sounds like a plan, if you ask me. It is time to get some serious Symbian love subsidized in the States. I know there is the N75 and E62 carried by Cingular/AT&T (NYSE: T), but we’re talking about the high end of the spectrum here. T-Mobile if you read this, please don’t VoIP cripple the N95.

Can you tell me what the difference is between Nokia N95 Europe version and the one sold in the US. I understand that the one sold in the US does not have the camera on the front. Are there any other differences and is there a place in US where I will be guaranteed to purchase the European unlocked device.

    Thanks

As far as I know the differences are :
    1. US version uses US HSDPA frequencies for 3G connectivity – 850/1900 MHz
    2. Lack of lens cover in US version
    3. Better battery in US version
    4. Faster CPU in US version
    5. Some firmware fixes
