RIM officialy announces BlackBerry Curve
Posted by Dusan on Thursday, May 3rd, 2007 at 6:59 am under RIM, Devices, Announcements
Just as we hinted about the BlackBerry 8300's name change, Research In Motion (RIM) announced the new device - BlackBerry Curve, along with the new device-dedicate site BlackBerryCurve.com.

The Curve looks as a promising device for both business users and consumers, sporting such features as a 2 MP camera with 5x digital zoom, Bluetooth with A2DP support and a full QWERTY keyboard — which is apparently much easier to use than the one of BlackBerry 8800. New BlackBerry also comes with an easier to use/better media player, a revamped desktop media manager and the Flickr integration.
Pricing and availability details are still not known, but we'll most like see RIM's latest baby bundled with some of the AT&T's contracts in the near future. (via: BoyGeniusReport)

We have been testing a pre-release version of the 8300 for a short while now. We hope everyone appreciates that due to NDA we have to sit back tight lipped while the speculation and grainy leaked photographs make their way around the internet, but we’re convinced that the new BlackBerry 8300 will have been worth the wait.

[…] Following its tradition, PC World named the top 20 products of the year, including innovative web applications, powerful processors, spectacular HDTVs, and creative game consoles. What's interesting for us is that the iPhone was not on the list. It's kind an understandable decision, as no one tested it yet — at least no one from the media. However, PC World editors decided to put RIM's baby, BlackBerry 8800, on the list. Personally, I prefer the new Curve… […]
