MiTAC, makers of the sexy, if buggy and limited, A701 Windows Mobile Pocket PC phone, are prepping to release their Mio A501 as part of their Digi-Walker line. The new phone is compact enough to easily fit in your hand (95.7mm X 59.6mm X 20.7mm) but only comes packin’ Windows Mobile 5.0 AKU 3.5 – running on a TI OMAP 850 CPU clocked at 201Mhz. And the fact that the Mio A501 eschews any 3G or WiFi connectivity for a lowly GPS receiver isn’t anything to talk about either. Still, you do get EDGE data, a 2 megapixel camera, and Bluetooth 2.0. All in all, we can find better ways to spend about $675, come this June.
We got a couple more pics for you guys, after the link….
