Top 5 Concept Phones in April 2007

With so many concept devices out there, we need to pick our favorites. That’s why we decided to go for top 5 every month, to summarize our thoughts on all the renderings found. Let’s start…

WYSIWYG concept phone5. “What You See Is What You Get” concept phone sets out to solve the age-old problem of accurately framing your camera phone pictures. The idea is to use the translucent design, that should offer some kind of a see-through body. This concept device is also very slick and slim, and… I like it.

4. Being the SF fan (freak actually) I just love the Intruder cell phone concept. It’s slick, slim with everything but a conventional clamshell design. The Intruder is a 2.5″ wide device and should easily fit any pocket.

Google concept phone3. File this under “I want to believe.” We’re still not sure whether Google (NSDQ: GOOG) is working on its cell phone or not, but it would be a nice addition to the market. Anyway, if Google is working on such device, it will most probably be a smartphone and will certainly look different than the concept renderings. Still, we can hope…

Butterfly concept phone2. Butterfly concept phone is a dual-screen device and that’s the way I like it. It is designed by a 15-year old high school student who certainly deserves a place at handset makers’ design departments. With the device like this you have almost unlimited possibilities to enjoy the mobility and multimedia while on the go.

1. Sky concept is the most beautiful mobile phone I’ve ever seen. Period. It’s a sleek and slim glossy-black device that is, as the image says, a must have. :)

Also worth mentioning: Me-Mo modular concept, Roll Phone, S-Series wooden concept phone and BenQ Touchscreen concept.

Have we missed something? What’s you take on concept devices?
