  I haven’t read the review.

  One of the main components in a computer that enables it to function freely and as a “Multimedia Computer” is the amount of RAM the computer has.

  The N95 has 20MB of executable RAM, the device I’m currently using (N80) has 18MB and one of the latest E series phones the E61i has 23MB.

  It’s clearly not enough, you cannot have multiple applications open at one time, the browser cannot load websites that are content rich e.g news site without other apps forced to close, images not loading because the device is out of memory or the browser just crashing.

  I was surprised at how much RAM Nokia included in the N95, I’m not too sure if it because of power consumption or something like that but its clearly another big problem and like Stefan said a first gen product.

  Another example, if you were using the music player or using the podcast app and then wanted to use the camera or use the maps app or read the news you are almost guarantied that one of the apps will be forced to shut down.

  One thing that surprised me was that the N76 has a better CPU and has double the RAM that the N95 has with 44MB.

  I cannot wait to read about how users of the N76 find the “MC” and eagerly wanting to know how many “out of memory” errors they get or how they find mulititasking between applications.

  I just hope the next top of the line N Series “MC” has a descent amount of RAM.

  exactly Abs_NZ, there can be alternatives to battery but ram , not so easily possible

  I have only just bought my N95 and the first two 16 Hour charges have resulted in me not receiving a full days ‘Normal’ use. By normal I mean receiving a max of 5 calls send maybe 10 text and testing my BT Headphones. My N80 is capable of this sort of use for 3 days without needing to be charged. I hope this is a firmware issue and will be rectified soon, I am in danger of taking it back. As a product billed as being able to play music, if I only get a couple of hours before it needs re-charging, it is not fit for the purpose for which it was sold and by UK law I will be entitled to a full refund. Shame it was a free Upgrade. LOL!!!
