Today we’re presenting you with yet another ModeLabs‘ concept phone. Similarly to Yoyo and U-Turn concepts, the Runaway is also an eco-friendly device. Designed for practicing physical activities, this concept device transforms sporting movements into electrical energy via kinetic mechanism.
The “master” module is made to be carried on the person or placed on different types of sporting equipment (bracelet, MTB, fitness equipment, etc), and has 5-direction thumbwheel on one side for menu navigation. The Runaway also supports Bluetooth connection, and has some sport-like applications built-in like tachometer and heart rate monitor.
There is certainly a market for such devices. However, Runaway seems too radical for the near future. Hopefully, I’m wrong.
