ABC goes Primetime with On-Demand Mobile TV Shows for Sprint

Sprint and ABC to offer up on-demand primetime shows like GreyAccording to USA Today, Sprint just inked a deal to serve up ABC’s primetime hits, Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, Desperate Housewives and Ugly Betty, to it’s $20-a-month data plan subscribers. The TV shows will be offered through on-demand services, which, according to ABC, ” is what people expect. Why should mobile be any different?” The deal is set to include Disney’s Hannah Montana, ABC News’ Nightline, and other shows. The on-demand model should appeal to a wider market, as opposed to the live mobile TV model.

Now we can watch Desperate Housew, err, Lost on our Sprint phones!
