Recently, Sound ID announced the SM100 EarModule, the lightweight in-ear Bluetooth headset. The SM100 offers three modes of use – Mobile Mode, Environmental Mode and One2One Mode, each tailored for a specific usage. The Mobile Mode is for a standard headset usage. In the Environmental Mode, the SM100 amplifies the environment to allow both ears to work together and eliminate the occluded effect associated with traditional headsets. Finally, One2One Mode allows pairing with another SM100 EarModule to form two-way radio connections.

Sound ID’s latest headset also features NoiseNavigation System, which is used to determine the loudness, frequency, pitch and tempo of incoming sound so the SM100 can initiate counter measures.
The Sound ID SM100 is everything but cheap. Still, for a MSRP of $129.99 you get the coolest-looking Bluetooth headsets on the market. It is currently available at Airport Wireless locations and featured online at Sound ID’s website. (via: Slashphone)
