Apple iPhone gets FCC approval

That oh-so-important stamp of approval from the FCC has finally been bestowed upon Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s hotness – the iPhone! The approval is something of a milestone for any handset hoping to break into the US market, but marks a huge step for eager iPhone hopefuls. As usual, the FCC has gone over the iPhone’s technical and design specs with a fine-tooth comb, but Apple has requested that the FCC keep their loose-lips sealed for the next 45 days. So we’re just going to have to wait and see if all those rumors about secret iPhone features and software will actually materialize. It’s interesting to note that 45 days from now roughly coincides with the rumored launch date for the iPhone.
