Verizon G’Zone Successor Revealed by FCC

By Will Park on Wednesday, May 23rd, 2007 at 9:56 PM PST In Devices, Verizon

Verizon GWe love the FCC, they always give up the insider info. The successor to Verizon (NYSE: VZ)’s uber-durable G’Zone flip phone was revealed by the FCC. The G’Zone Type S, from Casio, sports a hard plastic shell and rocks a VGA shooter, external screen, Bluetooth, and is water, shock, and dust resistant. But, for all that durability, we don’t get any VCAST love. Verizon has yet to announce the phone, but the FCC shows a manual with Verizon branding, so expect this thing to “drop” (see what we did there?) sometime soon!

I have one of these, it is My 2nd cell phone (after the resistance of cellular tech.)

This is the only cell phone for a person like Me, it never fails after drops, falls, water soakings etc.

My prior phone which I had ‘rebuilt” several times after drops was comparable to an EGG till I duct taped it for extra strength.

This G’z one is totally top O’ the heap phone for durability and regular (sound & signal) use.

The only feature I do not like is I cannot zoom up the text, #’s, etc. So I need My reading glasses to clearly see it / I am over 50 /.
