Virgin Mobile USA adds JumpTap’s local search functionality

Virgin Mobile USAFollowing Alltel, Virgin Mobile USA (NYSE: VM) also announced the extension of its mobile search functionality by integrating a WAP-based local search application from JumpTap. The new application enables the carrier’s customers to find anything local — from pizza shops to the closest CD store. Furthermore, customers can also search for local maps and directions to and from destinations.

All Virgin Mobile 3G-enabled device, including MarbL, Slice and Switch_Back, support the new local search application. Access to the VirginXL suite of mobile content applications costs 10 cents a day, but there is no additional cost for search.

    Well the bluetooth on the super slice doesnt work i have had the phone 4 almost a year and every day i tried to connect my bluetooth with my brothers phone he has a wild card but his phone detects my super slice but my super slice doesnt detect his wild card so in conclusion the phone is nice but the BLUETOOTH is crap and it doesnt work.
