Local search engine Local.com joined the mobile fray with the launch of the free, ad-supported Local Mobile service. The new service enables customers to quickly search based on a simple “what” and “where” query, access business profiles with maps and get driving directions. The click-to-call functionality is also implemented, as well as sharing function — users can send listings to other people via SMS.
