Japanese carrier Softbank (OTCPK: SFTBF) has announced two new qwerty keyboard smartphones – both rocking the hot new Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard operating system. The X02HT packs in a 2megapixel camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, 2.4 inch display, qwerty keyboard, and uses GSM radios with W-CDMA for high speed data. The X01H goes even bigger with larger 3 inch display, WiFi, Bluetooth, 2MP shooter, and HSDPA enabled GSM radios with W-CDMA. We’re loving the bright orange motif – it stands out and lets people know that the phone in your hand is something special.

gimme a break – “…rocking the hot new Windows Mobile 6.0…” – as a long time sufferer with WM 5.0 (on a Moto Q), I can hardly believe there is any hype over WM 6 as it is just more of the same – expect frequent phone lock ups, ridiculously long boot-up times, MSFT’s trademarked “many button presses required (TM) to do simple functions”, etc., etc. etc. – how can ANYONE be excited about such junk?
Um, yea, so we take it you DON’T like Windows Mobile? We just weren’t sure
and obviously you think WM “rocks” – I can’t understand how you can arrive at that conclusion – you must use it and so one can only conclude that you have amazingly low expectations for the device it’s on – you can’t deny these issues aren’t prevalent (I’d say endemic) so I don’t get it – why the cheerleading when it is as lousy as it is?
So you don’t like WM6. Just because you belong to an anti Microsoft clan, doesn’t mean everyone has to join you. I think microsoft has done a great job with it’s WM6, maybe not to perfection, great never the less. I can’t connect to my university network with any other OS and I definitely can’t add 3rd party apps with any other OS.
