More proof that S60 touch is near

If you have a blog you should immediately sign up for Technorati and subscribe to the RSS feed of people linking to you. You’ll end up finding some crazy sites, but sometimes you can find useful information:

… a week or so later when, while reading through mail from the webkit-changes list, I came across the commit message for WebKit revision 21303, which is related to WebKit bugzilla 13561.  The description for both the commit and the bugzilla item reads:

S60 3.2 Touch: Scrolling initial implementatoin

So I guess this means we’ll eventually be seeing a version of the WebKit-based S60 browser shipping on devices with the S60 Touch UI and making use of that touch UI. Nice.

Wicked find Mike!

Yael Aharon, Bradley Morrison and Sachin Padma are working on this. All of them are Nokia (NYSE: NOK) employees out of Boston.

Amazing what you can find via Google (NSDQ: GOOG)!

It probably goes along iPhone touch-system too (as some blogs can see iPhone specific useragents in web server logs here and there now)

Actually, it’s not really OS specific, but webkits ‘viewport’ will receive signals from the OS which itself receives the “touch”…

    (I know i’m not clear… that’s the beer…)
