GA week ago, we saw it on the FCC pages – now it’s available on Verizon, ready to be picked up by the outdoor enthusiasts. In case you haven’t realized, I’m talking about the G’zOne Type-S, the Casio-made rugged phone built to provide reliable performance in virtually all conditions.

Verizon emphasizes the durability of this device citing multiple Military Standards specification tests that the G’zOne Type-S passed, including humidity, drop, water and dust resistance tests. But the G’zOne Type-S is not only about the ruggedness. This baby can also access the carrier’s key services, including Verizon Wireless’ Get It Now virtual store and VZ Navigator (V CAST anyone?). Want it? Prepare to pour out $149.99 after $50 rebate and to sign for a new two-year customer agreement.
