Google Checkout goes mobile

Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Checkout is ready for the mobile world, as the search giant announced that its PayPal-like service is ready to be used on any WAP–enabled site. The Checkout experience has a couple differences in the mobile world — for example, buyers verify their identity with a PIN rather than with their full Google login.
On the merchant side there were no visible changes — the mobile functionality of Google Checkout is implemented automatically. Meaning, Google’s solutions is easy to use for both consumers and merchants — hopefully this will go in the direction of wider adoption of mobile payments. We’ll see…
