Palm Gandolf is coming

It seems that Palm (NSDQ: PALM) finally started to think. I do agree Treo is cool, but it haven’t changed for years (ok the integrated antenna is cool, but that’s a way-too-tiny change). And now… they are preparing to launch a new smartphone. Palm Gandolf has been spotted by Morning Paper news blog. Apparently, two versions will be available - one running the Palm OS and the other Windows Mobile 6. Furthermore, Gandolf should retail for around $200, and should pack a camera, full QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth, microSD card slot and support for high-speed data transfers.
Following the news, PalmInfocenter published the Gandolf leaked photo with Vodafone (NYSE: VOD) branding. Meaning, there will probably be versions for both CDMA and GSM markets. It’s still not clear when we’ll Palm announce the new smartphone, so stay tuned… (via: gizmodo)
