BenQ T80 debuted at Computex 2007Wait, BenQ is still making phones? Apparently, the defunct company has released a new handset – the BenQ T-80. The new slider was debuted at Computex 2007 and is expected for a Q2 release date at a $350 price point.

The BenQ T80 features a laser-etched keyboard, a la the Moto RAZR, and sports Near Field Communication (NFC) compatibility. Little else is known about this new handset.

We like the gloss exterior and the NFC feature, but we’re not too keen on the actual design of the device. It’s a bit too big and bulky to not have smartphone compatibility. Still, it’s nice to see BenQ still alive and kicking!

NFC is more than a glossy cover. This phone was designed to work with SURFACE with the Microsoft platform and NFC from the global leader SIRIT. It looks like BENQ is getting their act together.

Does anybody know if the iPHONE has NFC?

  2. Will Park says:

If the iPhone turns out to support NFC, I think I’ll wet myself. This is the only time that I ever hoped to wet myself.
