Wait, BenQ is still making phones? Apparently, the defunct company has released a new handset – the BenQ T-80. The new slider was debuted at Computex 2007 and is expected for a Q2 release date at a $350 price point.
The BenQ T80 features a laser-etched keyboard, a la the Moto RAZR, and sports Near Field Communication (NFC) compatibility. Little else is known about this new handset.
We like the gloss exterior and the NFC feature, but we’re not too keen on the actual design of the device. It’s a bit too big and bulky to not have smartphone compatibility. Still, it’s nice to see BenQ still alive and kicking!
