Finally! Windows has released the much-needed Windows Mobile Device Center 6.1. The new version of WMDC actually allows you to do what it was supposed to do from the get-go – synchronize files to and from your smartphone (touchscreen and non-touchscreen). We’re glad to see Microsoft staying on their toes – even if it’s after they dropped the ball – now we can use our WinMo devices like they were meant to be used!

Aside from allowing file synchronization, WMDC 6.1 includes Windows Mobile 6.0 feature support, HTML email synchronization, certificate enrollment, automatic device authentication, product registration, and Information Rights Management activation.
