Samsung’s newest offering is a 3 megapixel slider-phone. The Samsung E950 takes the baton from its uber-popular predecessor Samsung E900 slider, and boosts the built-in camera to 3 megapixels while slimming down to 15.5mm (1mm thinner). According to Unwired View, the new E950 slider gets a touch-sensitive d-pad (with a dedicated Yahoo search button), but aside from that, the phone’s specs are pretty much the same as the Samsung E900. For about $520 you get an unlocked E950 with a tri-band (900/1800/1900Mhz) GSM radio, 320×240 screen with 262K colors, microSD slot, and 80MB of internal memory.
We’re not sure what carrier will be picking up this puppy, but you can be sure that the lack of an 850Mhz band rules it out as an official AT&T phone. The Samsung E950 has been announced for Europe and the Czech Republic.
