Seamless roaming between CDMA and GSM is now a reality

Engadget reports that Beijing’s T3G Technology and NXP Semiconductors have introduced the “world’s first voice automatic handover of multi-mode TD-SCDMA and GSM/GPRS/EDGE in a handset.”
I hope this doesn’t stop operators from rolling out more GSM base stations around China. Nokia (NYSE: NOK) doesn’t make any high end CDMA devices, nor do I want them to start.
