iPhone interface for DiggDavid Cann is certainly of those eagerly waiting to get his hand on the iPhone. In the meantime, he may not write about it is as we do — he’s actually DOING something about it. Using the Yahoo! UI Library, PHP and the Digg API, he prepared the Digg interface for the iPhone users. It’s slick and works like a charm even from a desktop browser. At the moment, this app doesn’t allowing voting (digging) the on articles at Digg, but he said he’ll add more features soon.

Now that I’m thinking, this iPhone “web app thing” may not be that bad at all. The real applications would certainly work faster, but take a look at the desktop market where more and more software is turning into a service. Google (NSDQ: GOOG) Docs and Spreadsheets, ZOHO, MindMeister, to name a few. Hopefully, Apple (NSDQ: AAPL) will put a powerful, yet battery friendly processor in iPhone that will enable us to seamlessly use those web services. We’ll see…
