North Korea: Want a mobile phone? Sure you do…

In case you haven’t realized, if you’re reading this, you’re living in the free world — even owning a mobile phone is not legal everywhere. According to South Korean government think tank, North Korea has increased the public executions of people caught owning a mobile phone. While there are no mobile networks available to the general public, people smuggle them across the border with China, where the Chinese carriers are reported to have an unusually strong signal strength which reaches deep inside the North Korean border zone. Guess we’re not that popular among the North Koreans.
