iPhone’s display upgraded; Plus its battery rocks!

Finally some official iPhone information. It’s not that we don’t enjoy speculating about the iPhone’s features, rather Apple (NSDQ: AAPL)’s products are known to generate a ton of rumors and it’s a pleasure when we can actually confirm something. That being said, I’m glad to say that Apple released more information about its flagship device.
First thing to note is that the iPhone’s display will be made of optical-quality glass, not from the plastic most of the other devices’ displays are made of. Apparently, this should account for the “superior level of scratch resistance and optical clarity.”
Next, Apple announced that the iPhone will come with an ultra-durable battery life, which should hold enough power for full 8 hours of talk time, 250 hours of standby time, 6 hours of Internet use, 7 hours of video and a full day of audio playback. Sounds promising if you ask me, especially if you know that the Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N800 can hold up to 3 hours of Internet use. They’ve must have putted some mean battery in the iPhone. Hopefully, other handset makers will learn something from Apple, and will start putting better batteries in their devices as well.

yeah hopefully they start to put better bateries to the other devices, cuz my samsung u600 lasts for about 1 day and a half…
