AT&T gives landlords a heads-up on Apple iPhone launch-day crowd control

Boy Genius is always getting the scoop on internal documentation – we love that! This time they’ve got a couple internal letters from AT&T (NYSE: T) that gives AT&T Store landlords some suggestions on how to deal with the inevitable campers waiting for the iPhone.
Apparently, AT&T’s solution to the launch-day craze is the lowly stanchion. You know, those line-thingies (that’s a technical term) that you see herding people at movie theaters and theme park rides? Yea, we hate those too, but at least we can expect some semblance of order and fairness while we brave the crowds awaiting the iPhone.

We get confirmation that the AT&T stores’ hours will be extended until 10pm on launch day – June 29, 2007. But, we also get a bonus! The second document actually gives a sample dialogue of how AT&T stores should deal with the launch-day preparations – it’s pretty hilarious. On the other hand, if you needed some sort of internal memo to help you in your conversation with a landlord, how the heck did you get in the position of running a store?
See you in line!

BUT DO THEY EVEN THINK STORES WILL HAVE A BUNCH OF PPL RUSHING IN TO SPEND 600 DOLLAZ??? OMG APPLE…COME BACK TO EARTH!!!!
DO THEY EVEN SELL IPOD’S WHEN THEY WERE 600 DOLLAZ??? NO!!! SO IT WILL HAPPEN THE SAME NOW
Wouldn’t it be funny to see all the security and lines all setup and then nobody shows up?
