Summer with Verizon: LG enV Orange and Portable speakers

Verizon (NYSE: VZ) seems to have some crazy ideas how should be spend our summer. There’s no word about laying down on the beach in their release. Rather, the carrier suggest that we grab the new LG-manufactured enV Orange and pair it with (non-Bluetooth) Portable speakers, so that other people around us can also enjoy the music. Partying with other people is cool, but I still want to hit the beach.

Anyway, enV Orange packs a 2 MP camera, full QWERTY keyboard, Bluetooth connectivity and works with the popular Verizon’s services, including V CAST and V CAST Music, and VZ Navigator. Furthermore, the new device comes with some preinstalled software, such as the carrier’s proprietary e-mail solution Wireless Sync.
The enV Orange is already available online for $149.99 and beginning July 1st at more than 2,200 Verizon Wireless Communications Stores including those in Circuit City for $149.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate. LG Portable speakers are available for $49.99.
