CallWave VtxtSM service lets you read your voicemail; Available nationwide!

Forget about the iPhone’s or any other visual voice mail solution. Think “Voice Mail To Text!” That’s exactly what the service called CallWave offers — and now it’s available nationwide.
Simply put, CallWave Vtxt service grabs your voice mail, turns it into text and then send it to you as a text message. No more browsing for missed calls — the moment you don’t respond to your phone and the person on the other end leaves the message, you got it on your mobile phone, but not as a sound file, but as a text message. Now, that’s what I call THE convenience!

Santa Barbara, Calif., June 25, 2007 – CallWave, Inc. today announced the availability of the CallWave Vtxt service, free to beta users at www.callwave.com. Starting today, subscribers can sign-up for Vtxt and receive the “gist” of mobile phone voicemail, delivered to their handsets in one text message – without changing their mobile phone, number, or wireless service provider.

Vtxt is part of CallWave’s modernized voicemail offering that delivers a complete handset-to-desktop solution. The experience begins on the handset when a call has been missed or avoided and a voicemail message is left. CallWave subscribers immediately get a Gist text of the voicemail, where they can read the summary of the message. The experience then extends to the desktop, where the full transcription and audio file of the voicemail arrives via email and the newly available Vtxt PhonePage. PhonePage, a personalized web portal, offers a permanent, searchable archive of voice and text messages and the ability to reply to callers by text or voice – right from the Web. PhonePage also automatically creates a contact book based on the calls received.

I liked it when I started that I can send txt using unicode which supports multilanguages
I used SMS services with callwave, and I’m completely dissapointed, they cancle and suspend your account without notification, and when you complain there’s no body to talk to or complain who can understand you.
The disconnection and suspension of my account was excused to be a new policy of international users without notification to the user, or warning, and when I asked them why didn’t you tell me so I can backup my data they said sorry we missed that! what a crab service!
more importantly they delete all of your records and deny to hand it back to you (as history of transactions).
very disappointed and would warn everyone who’s trying to use them.
