Nokia N96 concept – second take

Well what do you know, someone figured out to combine the features of the Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N95 with the slick body of the N76, and voila… the N96 concept was born. The images you’re about to see were designed by StefHeijnen over at Mobile-Review forums. It’s obvious that the new N96 concept doesn’t have much to do with the earlier version, except that both devices are as slim as possible.
We don’t have much details about the N96 concept, so I’ll add that I expect it to have at least the camera of the N95, more RAM, WiFi, Bluetooth (with A2DP), improved GPS receiver, better battery included in the sales package, and possibly the better screen that would go beyond the QVGA resolution. There you have it — we have the specs, now it’s Nokia’s turn to make this a reality.

The post says it’s a photoshop dream.
BUT, today Oct 24th, I spotted what the the lucky dude owner said it’s N96!
YES! It is a nice big candybar with touch screen seeming to be the now popular 2.8 inches VGA. To the bottom there is the regular T9 keypad with very wide but too short 12 buttons. In the back of the phone there seemed to be a couple of MP camera with macro toggle slider aside. Other than that I was stunned to to see it first with some fellow geek Egyptian in the metro (underground), who got his claws on from a friend who grabbed it from Italy. Brevto Italia, yet my guess it’s a pre-production that was sold to the geek dude by more than 1 grand US$ in local pounds that pounded the “friend” pocket. Still lucky dude that screen what I want to see on every phone from now on, with WinMo, LinuxMo, Symbian S60 or PalmOS. Hear me Palm Inc.

the feature pack that it comes with has loads of new feature, like transition graphics for the meny for instance.. i saw one example in which a wind blows away the old menu screen and the new ones come whooshing in!
too spicy for me, you’ll get bored after a few whooshes..and then it will start to get irritating!
