Iran tries to turn off protests by turning off text messages

Always destroy your enemies ability to communicate and they will crumble. Who knows whether or not this will stop the protests in Iran, what we can establish is that SMS is very powerful and not just 160 characters of gibberish, unlike Twitter’s 140 characters of sheer nonsense.
