The slick new Samsung Ultra Edition II 12.1, also known as the Samsung U700, has gotten the go-ahead from the FCC. The world’s thinnest 3G slider is now that much closer to its US launch.
We can’t wait for this uber-thin 3.5G slider to hit US shores, with a feature set that includes a 3.2 megapixel camera, 3.6Mbps HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0, and microSD card slot, who wouldn’t want this phone? But we find it odd that the tri-band GSM (900/1800/1900Mhz) radio is going to make its way to the 850Mhz-friendly US.
It’s just too bad that the phone lacks a WiFi connection.
