Congratulations Wieden+Kennedy for winning Nokia’s advertising contract

These are the people behind Nike’s “Just do it” slogan, the people behind the awesome Honda commercial below and now they are responsible for making Nokia (NYSE: NOK)’s brand loved.

I only have one suggestion: emphasize the employees at Nokia who make the products that connect the over one billion people around the world. It is about time someone shined the spotlight on them. It is about time someone applauded the engineers, developers and people who stare at screens all day working in CAD or the Symbian.c++ IDE.

They are the people who count.

Edit: OK two suggestions, currently very few people know Nokia is Finnish and you should do your best to change that.

Full press release after the jump.
