Motorola Zante (Sidekick 4.0?) pictures and specifications revealed

Shiny would be an understatement, it is practically a mirror. This quadband GSM device has a 1.3 megapixel camera, 2.4 inch 320×240 display with 65,000 colors, Java support and can be expanded by up to 2GB with a mini SD card. Expected release date is October with a price of $269, they don’t say if you need a 2 year contract, but something tells me you will.
Shame this device isn’t known about in most of Europe, I’m sure it would be a smashing success since it is practically the only QWERTY device marketed towards regular people instead of businessmen.
More pictures after the jump.

I’m so disappointed…
Too many aspect were left aside :
1/smaller screen ( I’m sure everybody wanted a bigger one)
2/it’s Edge (not 3G)
3/the camera is 1.3MP (come on, no phone make 1.3MP camera anymore)
4/128 MB internal memory (you take 1 pic with your 1.3 MP camera and it’s full)
5/NO WIFI ( no comment @#$%#^!)
6/can’t download apps
7/it looks larger than the actual sidekick 3 to me
8/AND they left the main attraction of the phone ” The Sidekick “, this one slides ….Yuck
Good thing I got an iphone….
Mad ex-Tmobile customer
Out
AJ:
1) The screen is bigger and in higher quality (finally)
2) T-mobile has a GPRS/EDGE enhanced data network, not a 3G network connection (yet).
3) Uhhh…. plenty of phones are. Look on phonescoop.com! There are still some beng made with VGA!
4) Uh. We have 64* mb of internal memory now. This memory is shared.. so its not just for one thing and I would believe you can get more than one pictue, because we can get 3-10 now depending on your settings..
5) Wifi would make the backend server connection unsecure, meaning anyone could access your account information. I think I will live without wifi.
6) You sure can download applications, look in the download fun catalog. If you are a developer you can test third part apps but really this UI will hopefully allow some sweet apps to make PDM (catalog).
7) Yeah, the picture does make it look huge but the real photos from the boy genious shows it is really thin and maybe just a tad wider than the origional.
