Verizon WirelessGood news for Verizon (NYSE: VZ)’s Get It Now customers, as the carrier launched Mobile E-Mail service. The new service also involves a new OZ-powered application, which allows users to access popular email services such as Yahoo! Mail, AOL Mail, AIM Mail and Hotmail. The service also works with major ISPs and even allows users to access their non-web-based email accounts by connecting to the POP3 or IMAP servers — in total, users can access up to 10 email accounts. Finally, with Mobile E-Mail users can use their mobile phone’s address book and receive regular alert notification of new e-mails.

At the moment, Mobile E-mail is available on select Get It Now handsets, including enV by LG, the MOTORAZR V3m, MOTORAZR V3c, the LG VX8300 and the Chocolate by LG for $5.00 monthly access, and the service is expected to be available on additional handsets in the coming weeks. Verizon’s “America’s Choice Premium” subscribers can access Mobile E-mail for no additional charge or airtime charges.

There you have it. An elegant email solution from Verizon — or at least it looks like one.
